From making meatballs with his Nana to working under some of the most respected chefs in the industry, Chef Adam Sobel has been a force in the kitchen since day one. A graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America, Sobel honed his skills under the mentorship of legendary chefs including Gunter Seeger, Charlie Trotter, Daniel Boulud, Guy Savoy, and Michael Mina. His career skyrocketed with key roles at acclaimed establishments such as Bradley Ogden (Las Vegas), Guy Savoy (Las Vegas), Bourbon Steak (Washington, DC), and RN74 (San Francisco) where he developed a reputation for creating bold programs that pushed the boundaries on flavor and guest experiences.
Recently, Sobel’s passion for innovation has led to the development of some of the most sought-after dining destinations, including the 2023 debut of Sorelle in Charleston, SC, and the 2024 highly anticipated opening of Bourbon Steak at Essex House in New York City. During his 14-year tenure as a partner and Executive Chef at MINA Group, Sobel played a pivotal role in shaping a portfolio of over 40 world-class restaurants and brands across the U.S. and Dubai. His expertise in conceptualizing and executing world-class dining experiences makes him a sought-after collaborator for investors, hospitality groups, and forward-thinking brands looking to make an impact in the industry.
Now, with the launch of his own hospitality company, AETHER GROUP, he is focused on launching unique concepts rooted in authenticity and soul. AETHER GROUP is the coalescence of building successful concepts, creating inspired teams, and reimagining the boundaries for hospitality. From the first bite to the last note, AETHER GROUP thoughtfully brings together the right elements to produce rarefied moments worth sharing.
Beyond the kitchen, Sobel’s charismatic personality and deep knowledge of food have made him a television favorite with appearances on Food Network’s Tournament of
Champions, Guy’s Grocery Games, Guy’s Ranch Kitchen, and Chopped. Chef Sobel is also actively involved in charity events for Ava’s Kitchen and The V Foundation.
